recTangled is one of the most tactile puzzle surfaces in the Word Tycoon ecosystem. It takes the adjacent-letter word-search idea that players already understand from Squaredle-style games, then gives it a stronger rarity ladder, clearer solo and multiplayer identities, and a standalone home at rectangled.live.
How recTangled plays
You trace words through a letter grid by connecting adjacent letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. That part is familiar. The twist is how the game organizes the board. Common finds are the obvious layer, while rare and ultra-rare finds push players deeper into the grid and make the board feel less solved than it first appears.
Why the solo and multiplayer split works
Solo opens in daily mode by default and supports a preset ladder from smaller to larger boards. Multiplayer uses a larger default board, shared room pressure, and found-total chips that make the state of the board easier to read as a public contest instead of a private clear. That split gives recTangled two good rhythms without forcing them to feel identical.
Where it sits in the network
recTangled is a good example of how Word Tycoon handles a specialized game family. It has its own domain, streamer route, PWA shell, and product identity, but it still belongs to the same reward and account universe as the rest of the ecosystem. That combination is the point: the game can feel distinct without becoming detached.
